Join us for Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council's second annual virtual event to celebrate International Literacy Day.
Invite friends, family and colleagues to open up a good book on September 8th. Then, ask them to remember the 135,000 adults in our area who cannot enjoy this simple pleasure or complete day to day tasks we take for granted. Encourage them to make a donation to Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council. Their gift will open up a life!

Celebrity chef and television personality Curtis Aikens will join us as guest speaker for our 23rd annual Leaders for Literacy Luncheon. A former adult literacy student himself, Curtis made it through high school, into college, and owned his own business without ever knowing how to read. An expected 300 business and community leaders will gather to honor local men and women who share Curtis’ struggle and have achieved success.
