Compass AmeriCorps and Literacy*AmeriCorps are national service programs funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service. Literacy*AmeriCorps is a National Direct program, while Compass AmeriCorps is a state program funded by PennSERVE, the governor's commission on service. Both programs are managed locally by Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council.

Literacy*AmeriCorps members directly serve adults, families, and children throughout the Pittsburgh area by helping them reach their educational goals. Compass AmeriCorps members provide wrap-around social services support to newly resettled refugees. Stick around and learn more about us.
